RELIGIOUS UNDERSTANDING IN GROUP MUKJIZAT SALAT IN BOALEMO REGENCY, GORONTALO

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the existence of the prayer group in Wonggahu Village, Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency related to their religious understanding and practices which has long been done. Data were collected through observation of the practice of the groups, in-depth interviews were conducted as the emergence of their understanding and religious practices. Tracing of documents and literature were collected, related to the understanding of the Ilmu Mukjizat Salat (Prayer Miracles). The results of the study show that the Ilmu Mukjizat Salat is a group that explores the power of prayer which is considered to have long been disconnected so that in 1994 Muhammad Nasir (the first recipient) obtained incidental magical powers through miracles or guidance, therefore he could communicate with supernatural powers. The Ilmu Mukjizat Salat group requires several practices that must be carried out by each member, in addition, there are also certain religious understandings that are taught to each member or prospective member. The research recommends the need to develop and increase the religious understanding of the community so that young people do not enter into a sect or religious group that is different from mainstream religious understanding and practices.
