Penamas Journal invites scholars and researchers to submit original articles addressing religion and society in the context of contemporary global issues and local traditions. The journal focuses with research on religious activities of the community with cultural nuances and/or cultural activities of the community with religious nuances that have an impact and influence on society and the state, based on field research and in-depth interview approaches. The journal welcomes perspectives from various religious backgrounds, including Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and local belief systems.

Focus & Scope:
1. Religious Traditions
Field studies on longstanding community religious practices that shape social aspects such as education, ecology, economy, harmony, and law.
2. Religious Acculturation
Research on the blending and adaptation of religious and cultural practices in community life.
3. Religious Traditions & the State
Studies on the intersection of religious traditions and public policy—how each influences the other in societal contexts.
