Abstrak

Sego wiwit sebagai tradisi agraris masyarakat Jawa, dalam kajiannya masih sebatas deskripsi budaya padahal terdapat potensi besar, yaitu sebagai bahan ajar bagi pemelajar asing. Pemelajar asing membutuhkan materi kontekstual berbasis budaya lokal dalam menelusuri transformasi makna budaya khususnya pada tradisi sego wiwit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejarah, prosesi ritual, simbol dan filosofi sego wiwit, serta relevansinya dalam kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat dan pembelajaran kepada mahasiswa asing. Data penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode etnosejarah diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian; sego wiwit berfungsi sebagai media komunikasi simbolik yang merepresentasikan hubungan harmonis manusia, alam, dan spiritualitas masyarakat. Negosiasi budaya dan religiusitas melalui reinterpretasi makna ritual sebagai bentuk rasa syukur dan solidaritas sosial tidak hanya sebagai warisan budaya, tetapi juga potensial sebagai materi pembelajaran mahasiswa asing berbasis budaya lokal dan penguatan literasi interkultural.
