This research used descriptive philosophical method. The purpose of this research is to describe philosophical relation between morals and derivatives with Javanese morals and their derivatives in the context of basic education. This study reveals that in the context of religious knowledge the relationship can be private i.e. human relationship with God and can be public i.e. when it is related to the relationship among members of the community. The private connection absolutely requires the presence of morals or moral behavior due to Allah, while the public one is a normative assessment between one party or institution or people with others. In a sense, Javanese morality is another form of moral concepts in the public sphere which is then safeguarded by the norms of ‘adab/culture’ in Islamic terms and norms of Javanese customs in the context of Javanese culture. Javanese values and norms that are religious in nature are private, although the concepts are meaningful with morals and placed in a cultural context, that is public.
