Abstrak

This study saw the other side of thematic learning, namely in the forms of implanting moral values. The aims of this study was to find the patterns of moral values internalization through thematic learning at Bogor Natural Elementary School (SDAB) and to formulate the concept of moral values internalization through thematic learning. This study was conducted by descriptive qualitative research through case study approach. The data was collected by in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The research findings showed that: 1) the patterns of internalizing moral values at SDAB used the moral education design based on class, community and school culture, and moral values institution based on Islamic teaching which was known as SALAM. 2) to achieve this SALAM values and the last goal of education, SDAB used thematic approach in its learning. Moral values internalizing method at SDAB is conducted through teaching, imitation, habituation, motivation, and enforcement. 3) The concept of moral values internalizing through thematic learning was a learning condition that stated the certain moral values which was used thematic approach through design based on class, school and community cultural, and various systematically application methods.
