About the Journal
Penamas journal publishes original research articles addressing contemporary global issues and trends on the religion and society. It draws on the perspectives of various world religious traditions, including Islam, Catholicism, Protestantism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and local religious traditions. The journal focuses with research on religious activities of the community with cultural nuances and/or cultural activities of the community with religious nuances that have an impact and influence on society and the state, based on field research and in-depth interview approaches. Meanwhile, the scope of this journal is:
- Religious traditions
Field studies on community religious activities that are maintained and preserved for generations and have a significant influence on society in various aspects of life such as education, ecology, economy, harmony, law, and so on.
- Religious acculturation
Field studies on religious activities and/or cultural activities of communities that make adjustments, adaptations, or religious-cultural mergers, such as adjustments to religious rituals and practices with local culture, adaptations to the use of symbols of local traditions in religious practices, and merging religious values with local cultural values.
- Religious traditions and state
Field research on the relationship between religious traditions and state policies, including religious traditions that influence state policies and/or state policies that influence religious practices or religious identities in the sphere of public life, such as education, ecology, economics, harmony, law, and so on.

The interaction of religion and society needs to be studied more deeply with the aim of maintaining the stability of harmony and promoting world peace. Therefore, Penamas Journal provides an opportunity for writers from researchers, lecturers, and other academics to convey the latest ideas as scientific contributions through scientific articles based on the results of field research published in Journal Penamas. This journal is a journal that can be accessed free of charge by authors around the world both as a reference material in socio-religious studies and as a reference in the formulation of government policies.
